Compulsory Purchase Orders
The Council have written to landowners and interested residents to state that they will not be proceeding with
the Bath Transportation Package CPOs. They have also written to the relevant Government Departments to withdraw
the applications. These Departments will formally withdraw the applications and notify residents in due course.
Village Green Applications
The inspector has published his recommendation on one of the three Village Green applications.
He has recommended VG status is granted to the Newbridge Meadows land with the exception of a small area known
as the "bund". However, this shouldn't have an adverse effect more info here
It is up to the Council to decide whether to act on this recommendation and grant Village Green status. We suspect
they will want to have the recommendations for all three VGs in front of them before they make a decision.
Bath Transportation Package submission
The Council have to submit their final BTP plans to the Department For Transport by 9th September. They have repeatedly
stated that the BRT and Bathampton Meadows car park have been dropped from the scheme. That said we look forward
to seeing the detailed application in due course.
